Valorant Masters is a biannual Valorant international tournament hosted by Riot Games as part of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). It is held after the kickoff stage and first stage of each season.
History
2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Stage 1 Masters event for the 2021 season was a regional tournament instead of a global tournament.
2022
2023
As the 2023 season only featured a single stage for each of the three regional leagues, there was only one Masters event that year, which was held in Chiba, Japan, but was marketed as "Masters Tokyo" due to its location in the Greater Tokyo Area.
2024
The first Masters of the 2024 season was held in Madrid, Spain. Masters Madrid featured a new eight-team format divided into two stages, with a Swiss-system tournament leading into a double-elimination tournament.
The second Masters event was held in Shanghai, China. The twelve-team format was changed from its last appearance in Masters Tokyo, where instead of a group stage, the first stage utilized the same Swiss format as Masters Madrid.
2025
2026
The first Masters of the 2026 season will be held in Santiago, Chile. Stage 1 Masters will expand to twelve teams, using the same format as Stage 2 Masters from 2024 onward.
