underDOGS Studio is an Indian video game development company based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Founded in 2011 by Vaibhav Chavan, the studio develops video games for mobile, PC, and console platforms. The company is known for developing the mobile game Skatelander and the narrative adventure game Mukti, which was selected for Sony Interactive Entertainment's India Hero Project.[1]
History
underDOGS Studio was founded in Mumbai in 2011 by Vaibhav Chavan. The company initially developed web-based games and later expanded into mobile game development during the growth of the smartphone gaming market in India
In 2015, the studio released Skatelander, an endless skating game for mobile platforms. The title received international attention and was featured on mobile app stores in multiple countries. The game was also nominated at international gaming events including Casual Connect Singapore.
By the mid-2020s, the studio had developed more than 250 games across mobile, PC, and console platforms while also providing game development services to external clients.
Mukti
The studio began development of Mukti , a first-person narrative adventure game, during the late 2010s. The game is set in India and explores themes related to human trafficking through environmental storytelling and puzzle-solving gameplay.[2]
In 2025, underDOGS Studio revealed the first gameplay footage of Mukti. The game was selected as part of Sony Interactive Entertainment's India Hero Project, an initiative supporting game developers in India.[1]
