Tracel (also known as Tracel Health) is a natural supplement brand in Nelson, New Zealand, producing Boysenberry-based natural supplements.

History

Tracel was founded by Wallace Lysaght family in 1980 and is globally headquartered in Nelson, New Zealand.[1] Tracel has been producing its nutritional drink for 44 years..[2][3] The Wallace Lysaght family focused on refining extraction methods.[2]

In 2024, Tracel opens headquarters in Hong Kong and China.[4] In response to the warm reception in the Chinese market, Tracel participated in the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE).[5][2][6]

Activities in New Zealand

Tracel produced a boysenberry-based natural supplement and distributed it in New Zealand, Mainland China, and Hong Kong.[1] The boysenberries are harvested from Nelson.

In 2025, Tracel collaborated with the International Fashion Runway New Zealand (IFRNZ) for 'Beauty From Within'[7][8], a runway featuring diverse models that reflects New Zealand's sustainable values.

The New Zealand Fernmark License Program trademarked Tracel's product.[9]

Product and Reception

In 2024, Tracel released Boysenberry Beauty Nutritional Drink in liquid format.[10] The supplement passed the SGS and Belgium Eurofins standards.[11][12][2] Boysenberry has a high level of anthocyanin, a group of antioxidants that aid anti-aging.[13]

In New Zealand, Tracel has been operating for 44 years, and starting to enter the offline market through pharmacies and retail stores.[14]

Tracel's sales exceeded 5 million yuan after entering the Chinese Market through TMall.[4][15] In June, after a month of entering the Chinese market, Tracel's sales exceeds 10 million yuan[16].[17] Tracel is said to be the top seller in various e-commerce platforms.[12] At the tail end of 2025, Tracel participated in the 7th CIIE due to increased demands from Chinese customers.[16]

7th China International Import Expo (CIIE)

Tracel is one of the foreign businesses debuting in the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE)[18]. The brand's debut receives warm reception during the expo, with various Chinese media highlighting its natural ingredients and innovative extraction process[19][20]

Contribution to Anti-Glycation and Anti-Aging Research

Tracel provided a powder sample of their supplement for a study with zebrafish to observe its whitening, anti-glycation, anti-oxidation, and anti-photoaging effects.[21] This study is published through the Francis Press in 2024.

According to the study, it contains "UV-G-OX-CLEARERTM" compound, which demonstrates "A significant anti-glycation effect".[21] This compound is also believed to reverse signs of aging.[3]
