Tinify is a Dutch online image compression service operated by Tinify B.V., based in Amsterdam. It is known for its web-based tools TinyPNG and TinyJPG, which compress PNG and JPEG images using lossy compression techniques.^[1][2] The service also provides a developer API and a content delivery network product called Tinify CDN.^[3]

TinyPNG was created by Voormedia, a web development agency based in Amsterdam.^[1] As of December 2012, the service was publicly accessible at tinypng.org and described its purpose as helping make websites "faster and more fun to use".^[1] In 2014, compression support for JPEG images was added.^[3] In 2016, support for animated PNG was introduced.^[4] The company subsequently rebranded from Voormedia to Tinify B.V. and expanded its offerings to include a paid API and a CDN product.
