Phillip Hodge (born May 12, 1984),[1] professionally known as Thuggizzle, is an American rapper, philanthropist, and entrepreneur from San Antonio, Texas.[2] He is known for his freestyle-based hip-hop style and for combining music with community advocacy. He is also the founder of the bottled-water brand Thuggizzle Appalachian Mountain Spring Water and the nonprofit organization Thuggizzle Cares Inc.[3]
Early life
Hodge was born in San Antonio, Texas, and spent part of his childhood in foster care.[2] He has spoken publicly about how his early experiences influenced his focus on youth empowerment, literacy, and community outreach programs in later years.[4]
Career
Thuggizzle began his music career in San Antonio, gaining local recognition through freestyle performances and community-based events.[5] His work later received regional media attention, including appearances and coverage on KENS 5, KSAT, and News4 San Antonio, where his music and philanthropic efforts were highlighted.
