ThingsLog is a Bulgarian technology company that develops hardware and software systems for Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring and telemetry. The company designs IoT data loggers and cloud-based platforms used for remote monitoring of sensors and infrastructure systems.
The company's technologies are used in applications such as smart water metering, environmental monitoring, energy monitoring and remote monitoring of industrial infrastructure.[1]
History
ThingsLog was founded in Sofia, Bulgaria by Nikolay Milovanov and Vasil Yordanov. Milovanov completed a PhD at New Bulgarian University in Sofia.[2]
The company develops Internet-of-Things technologies designed for monitoring consumption of resources such as water, electricity and gas.[1]
Products and technology

ThingsLog develops IoT telemetry devices and monitoring platforms used to collect data from sensors and transmit it to remote systems for analysis and visualization.
One of the devices developed by the company is the LPMDL-110X low-power 4G data logger designed for telemetry applications such as water flow monitoring, pressure monitoring, level monitoring and environmental monitoring.[3]

The devices support communication technologies including cellular networks and low-power wide-area network protocols such as LoRaWAN.
Typical system components include:
- IoT data loggers for sensor data acquisition
- wireless communication modules
- cloud-based monitoring and visualization software

Applications
ThingsLog monitoring systems are used in a range of remote telemetry applications including:
- smart water metering and water network monitoring
- environmental monitoring of parameters such as temperature, humidity and water levels
- monitoring of energy consumption and utilities
- industrial infrastructure monitoring
These systems enable remote collection of data from sensors and meters and allow operators to monitor infrastructure and detect anomalies such as leaks or abnormal resource consumption.[1]
Research
Research related to IoT telemetry systems and LPWAN communications has been published by company founder Nikolay Milovanov.
Studies have examined the use of LoRaWAN networks for monitoring water utility infrastructure and pressure and flow measurements.[4]
Other research has explored the use of LPWAN technologies for implementing remote smart metering systems in the water utility sector.[5]
Funding
In 2022 the company completed a seed funding round of approximately €1 million led by Morningside Hill Capital Management, with participation from ReconArt and other investors.[1][6]
Additional investors included ReconArt and Omilinix.[7][8]
