Draft:Sunday Robotics

  • Comment: While I don't think this topic currently meets our inclusion criteria, "notability", if coverage continues I think it could very soon. At the moment there is some coverage in reliable, independent sources, namely the Wired article and the two from Business Insider. All of this is within the same two weeks last month. Whether there is continuing coverage, and whether that coverage focuses more on Memo or on Sunday Robotics proper, will be important in evaluating future submission.
I would recommend that this draft be significantly shortened and to remove promotional phrasing — I'll take a try at this in a few. Also, please stop writing Wikipedia content with AI, or at least review the output before submitting. Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 02:20, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

Sunday Robotics is an American robotics and artificial intelligence company that develops home service robots for household tasks. The company is known for developing Memo, a robot designed to handles tasks such as clearing tables or loading dishwashers.[1][2]

History

Sunday Robotics was founded in April 2024 by roboticists Tony Zhao and Cheng Chi, who had prior experience in academic research and industry projects related to manipulation and machine learning. The company announced its first public product, Memo, on 19 November 2025 and disclosed early financing to support development and testing.[3]

Sunday raised approximately $35 million from venture investors, including Benchmark.[4][5]

Memo

Memo is a robot on a wheeled platform with a height-adjustable central column, two manipulators with grippers, rounded compliant surfaces for safe contact, and sensors for perception and navigation. Memo is intended to perform multi-step chores such as clearing tables, loading dishwashers, folding laundry, and operating small appliances. Independent reviews described Memo as deliberately slow and conservative in movement to prioritize safety.[6][7]
