Statiq is an Indian electric vehicle charging network and EV charging aggregation platform based in Gurugram, Haryana, and operated by Sharify Services Private Limited. The company develops and operates electric vehicle charging infrastructure, charging hardware, and software platforms, including a mobile application that enables users to locate, book and pay for charging services.[1] [2]

The company was founded in 2020 by Akshit Bansal and Raghav Arora. According to Forbes India, the founders began developing the business in October 2019 to build both their own EV charging infrastructure and an aggregator platform that integrates charging stations operated by other charging point operators.[3]

As of 2026, Statiq operated more than 10,000 AC and DC charging points across more than 100 cities in India. Pilot deployments were also underway in the United Arab Emirates.[4] [2][1]

History

Akshit Bansal and Raghav Arora began working on the business after identifying a gap in India's electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In early 2020, the company launched its mobile application as a charging point operator aggregator, followed later that year by the release of its first charging hardware.[3]

The company expanded by integrating charging stations from other operators, including Bharat Petroleum and ChargeMOD, into the Statiq network.[3]

In 2022, Statiq partnered with Ather Energy to enhance electric vehicle charging infrastructure in northern India.[5]

The same year, the company collaborated with Hero Electric to strengthen electric vehicle charging infrastructure in northern India.[6]

In 2023, Statiq secured a contract from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited to install more than 500 electric vehicle chargers across 12 Indian states.[7]

In 2024, the company announced interoperability partnerships with Hyundai, ChargeMOD and GLIDA to integrate partner charging networks into the Statiq application.[8]

Later in 2024, Statiq partnered with Vertelo to co-develop electric vehicle charging sites in India.[9]

In 2025, VE Commercial Vehicles partnered with Statiq to provide charging access for electric truck and bus customers through the MyEicher platform.[10]

In 2024, co-founders Akshit Bansal and Raghav Arora were included in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in the Industry, Manufacturing and Energy category. [11] [12]

Funding

Statiq received US$1.8 million in seed funding from Y Combinator in 2020, which supported the expansion of its hardware and software operations.[3]

In June 2022, the company raised US$25.7 million in a Series A funding round led by Shell Ventures, with participation from Astir Ventures, VentureSouq and Oyster Ventures. The company stated that the funds would be used to invest in product engineering and network infrastructure.[13][3]

In February 2026, Statiq raised US$18 million in a combination of equity and debt led by Tenacity Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Shell Ventures and RCD Holdings. The company stated that the capital would be used to expand its charging infrastructure, deploy more direct current fast chargers on highways and in tier I and tier II cities, and invest in hardware lifecycle management and advanced telematics.[4][2][1]

Operations and services

Statiq designs and manufactures electric vehicle chargers and operates both alternating current and direct current charging infrastructure. The company also develops software platforms for charging station management, telematics and network interoperability.[3][2]

Its mobile application enables users to locate, reserve and pay for charging services and provides access to both Statiq-operated charging stations and third-party networks such as E-Fill, Sunfuel and GLIDA.[2][1]

The company offers public charging stations, home electric vehicle chargers, portable electric vehicle chargers and software-based solutions for charging network operators.[14]

Statiq also operates a FOCO (Franchise-Owned, Company-Operated) model, under which partners own charging hardware while the company manages operations and maintenance.[2]

According to Forbes India, the company designs its chargers in-house and derives revenue from hardware sales, software services and charging transactions.[3]

Expansion

In 2022, Statiq announced a collaboration with Nexus Malls to install electric vehicle charging hubs across 17 mall locations in India.[15]

Reuters reported in 2025 that Tata Motors included Statiq among the charging operators participating in its plan to significantly expand public electric vehicle charging infrastructure in India.[16]

By 2026, the company stated that it planned to expand its network to 20,000 charging points across India while pursuing international growth beginning with pilot deployments in the United Arab Emirates.[2][1]
