Spotler is a European marketing technology company headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands. The company develops cloud-based software for marketing automation, email marketing, customer data management and digital customer communication.
Spotler was formed from the Dutch email marketing companies Blinker and MailPlus. In November 2016, CNBB Venture Partners acquired a majority stake in their parent company, Bright Marketing Holding.[1][2] In 2017 the businesses were combined under the Spotler name.
History
Spotler originated as an email marketing software provider in the Netherlands through the merger of Blinker and MailPlus in 2017.
In 2018, the company expanded into the United Kingdom through the acquisition of marketing automation platform CommuniGator.[3]
During the early 2020s, Spotler expanded across Europe through a series of acquisitions in areas including customer data platforms, CRM software and marketing automation. Notable acquisitions included Webpower in 2020 and Squeezely in 2021.[4][5]
Business model
Spotler operates as a marketing technology provider offering a range of software products for customer data management, marketing automation and digital communication.
According to an interview with Emerce, the company follows a "best-of-breed" strategy, combining specialised marketing technology platforms into a broader integrated ecosystem.[6]
This approach focuses on integrating multiple specialised tools, such as customer data platforms, messaging software and marketing automation systems, into a unified marketing technology environment.
Software and services
Spotler develops cloud-based software used by organisations to manage marketing campaigns, customer data and digital communication channels.[7]
Its product portfolio includes tools for email marketing, marketing automation, transactional messaging, customer data platforms (CDPs), customer relationship management (CRM), website personalisation and chatbot communication.
In addition to software, the company provides implementation support, consultancy and training services for organisations deploying its technology.
