Solidgate is a financial technology company specialising in payment orchestration and online payment processing for digital businesses. The company has its registered headquarters in Nicosia, Cyprus, with offices also located in Kyiv, Lviv and Warsaw.[1][2] Solidgate was founded in 2016 by Yuriy Alekseev and Kyrylo Tarnopolskyi and provides payment infrastructure for digital merchants worldwide.[3][1][4] Its regulated arm, Solid Processing Limited, is an electronic money institution authorised by the Central Bank of Cyprus to provide payment services across the European Economic Area.[2]
History
The company was founded in 2016 by Yuriy Alekseev and Kyrylo Tarnopolskyi to build payment infrastructure for digital businesses originally from Ukraine, and subsequently expanded to serve merchants worldwide.[3][4]
In August 2023, Solid Processing Limited, the company's Cyprus-based arm, received authorisation from the Central Bank of Cyprus as an electronic money institution.[2] In June 2025, Solidgate introduced Solidgate Treasury, a cross-border money-movement product.[5]
In July 2025, Solidgate joined Endeavor, a non-profit network supporting high-growth entrepreneurs.[3][6] During 2025, the company expanded its anti-fraud capabilities through a partnership with Salv.[citation needed] Solidgate also integrated with JP Morgan's banking network for cross-border merchant processing.[7]
In April 2026, Solidgate was ranked second in the inaugural Forbes Ukraine Employer of the Year rating compiled with the recruitment platform robota.ua.[4]
Products
Solidgate operates a unified payments platform that combines payment orchestration with several value-added services. Key products include:
- Payment orchestration – a unified API allowing merchants to manage multiple payment service providers, acquirers and alternative payment methods, with intelligent routing and reconciliation across providers.[1][7]
- Subscription billing – tools for managing recurring payments, retries and revenue recovery for subscription businesses.[1]
- Fraud prevention and chargeback management – including an AI-based dispute representment service launched in 2024, and anti-fraud capabilities expanded through a partnership with Salv in 2025.[citation needed]
- Solidgate Treasury – business accounts with IBAN, SEPA and SWIFT transfers, launched in June 2025.[5][8]
- Tax compliance – a self-service platform for automating indirect tax (VAT and sales tax) calculation, collection and reporting across multiple jurisdictions for multinational digital businesses, launched in November 2024.[citation needed]
Reach and clientele
As of 2026, the company reported serving hundreds of merchants in subscription, e-commerce and mobility sectors.[1] Publicly disclosed clients include the mobility platform Bolt,[1] the edtech app Headway,[9] and the digital fashion platform DRESSX, among others.[10]
