The Skinwalker war, also known as the Vexart legion invasions and conquests, is an ongoing global conflict initially between the Vexart legion and a united nations led coalition, which saw the rise of the Skinwalker species, creating the largest empire to exist on earth, and the collapse of the majority of modern human sovereign states from skinwalker hysteria and political instability. The Skinwalker war is the deadliest conflict in human and skinwalker history, which saw the deaths of 2.5 billion people due to a series of mass genocides from both sides in an attempt to purge the opposing species, primarily via the repeated use of nuclear bombs on the human side and Vexart strikes on the skinwalkers. It is ongoing with no end in sight and is the subject of being the proposed World War III and the end of humanity.

The skinwalkers first appeared in East Uganda under mysterious circumstances, often speculated to be related to human experimentation, religious apocalypses and other proposed theories. Led by the first instance of an abnormal skinwalker, Vexart, they began the process of Skinwalker filtering on the population and dismantled the governments of central east Africa, establishing their own dictatorship state. During this period, the skinwalkers and their invasion were kept confidential, and the situation was known by the public to be an instance of terrorism known as the African crisis. Following being publicly revealed and declared a global threat by the UN, the Vexart legion utilised the months following the announcement, where the normalisation of skinwalkers was ongoing and thus yet to be recognised seriously by world governments, to quickly capture the rest of the nations in the African continent, alongside the use of their abnormal endurability and skinwalker hivemind.

The skinwalker war is generally recognised to begin on December 15th 2024, Due to South Africa launching the nuclear bomb on the skinwalker Zimbabwe state following the attack on Beitbridge, marking the second use of nuclear warfare and the declaration that skinwalkers are not human, and the attack on the Abraham borders, which triggered Abraham's several alliances. 121 nations declared war on the Vexart Legion, leading to the initiation of over a thousand campaigns to retake their cities and assassinate Vexart. It was at this point, during mid 2025, that the Vexart legion began their strategy of mass espionage and skinwalker conversion to dismantle world governments in what would now be known as the silent apocalypse.
