Comment: Local politicians are not automatically entitled to have Wikipedia articles, per WP:NPOL. The lowest level of office that guarantees inclusion in Wikipedia is the state legislature, while politicians at more local levels only qualify if they pass WP:GNG on significant reliable source coverage about them and their work. Shajini Chandran, also known as Shajini, is an Indian politician from Idukki, Kerala.
Political career
Shajini Chandran was elected to the Idukki District Panchayat from the Painavu division in September 2005 as a Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate, securing 19,049 votes.[1] She served until 2010.
During her tenure from 2005 to 2010, she served as a member of the District Planning Committee (DPC) and as the Chairperson of a District Panchayat Standing Committee.[1]
