Comment: See WP:BLP. Statements, starting with the date of birth, need to be sourced or removed.Note also that center links to a disambig page. Greenman (talk) 22:47, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
Comment: The article has been declined a few times due to insufficient sourcing to meet the notability guidance in WP:SPORTSBASIC - it has been submitted again with essentially the same sources and slightly different wording in the article, otherwise it is identical to the April version. It is the sources that need improving. ChrysGalley (talk) 14:15, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

Ronald Anthony Plantz (born July 27, 1964) is an American former professional football center who played for the Indianapolis Colts of National Football League (NFL). He played college football at University of Notre Dame.[1][2][3]
College career
Plantz attended and played college football at the Notre Dame from 1982 to 1985. Coming out of high school, Notre Dame and Penn State felt he would not be good enough to play on their teams as a defensive lineman.[4] But at the advice of scout Tom Lemming, Notre Dame reconsidered and accepted him to their team as a center, where he eventually became a starter.[4]
Professional career
Plantz was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent after 1986 NFL Draft, but he was waived on August 10, 1986, during final roster cuts. He was signed by the Colts to play for them during the 1987 NFLPA strike.[5][6]
Personal life
His Son Logan played for Notre Dame Football team and his son was running back and current special teams analyst Tyler Plantz who played at Notre Dame. In 2012 Plantz founded AA Medical Store in Mokena, Illinois.
