Rohitash Chandra is an academic in the field of data science and artificial intelligence. He is an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), Australia.[1]
Early life and education
Chandra was born in Fiji and has worked in academia and research in computer science and artificial intelligence. He later completed his doctoral studies at Victoria University of Wellington.
In 2017, Chandra held a research fellowship at the University of Sydney.[2] His research has focused on machine learning and its applications in areas such as environmental modelling and scientific computing.[1]
Career
In 2020, he joined UNSW Sydney. Chandra's work includes applications of machine learning in areas such as resource exploration and environmental systems.[1]
Chandra is also associated with the Pingla Institute, an independent non-profit research organization based in Australia, where he serves as Chairman.[3]The institute focuses on interdisciplinary research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related fields.[3]Chandra has contributed to public discussions on artificial intelligence and its societal impact.
