PT Republik Korpora Indonesia, trading as Republikorp, is an Indonesian private defense holding company headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. Founded in 2013 by Norman Joesoef, the company is involved in defense manufacturing partnerships, aerospace projects, naval systems, and defense technology development.

History

Republikorp was founded in 2013 by Norman Joesoef. Initially focused on defense technology trading and human resource development within Indonesia's defense sector, the company later expanded into manufacturing partnerships and international defense cooperation projects.[1]

In August 2024, Indonesia's Ministry of Defence signed a procurement cooperation contract with Republikorp involving Çakir surface-to-surface missiles and Sungur air defense missile systems.[2]

In February 2025, Republikorp signed a joint venture agreement with Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's state visit to Indonesia, covering the establishment of a drone manufacturing facility in Indonesia.[3][4]

Operations

Republikorp operates across aerospace systems, naval platforms, land systems, and defense technology development.

The company has participated in international defense exhibitions including Indo Defence and the Seoul ADEX, where it has showcased naval systems and unmanned platforms.[5]

In February 2025, Milanion signed a contract with Republikorp to supply the Indonesian Navy with five 20-meter unmanned surface vessels.[6]

Partnerships

In October 2023, South Korean defense company LIG Nex1 signed a strategic partnership agreement with Republikorp at the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX), covering technology transfer related to the Raybolt anti-tank guided missile system.[7]

In June 2025, Barzan Holdings, the investment arm of Qatar's Ministry of Defense, signed cooperation agreements with Republikorp related to ammunition production in Indonesia.[8]

In January 2026, Barzan Holdings, Republikorp, and South Korea's Poongsan Corporation signed a tripartite agreement at the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) 2026 to establish an ammunition manufacturing facility in Indonesia.[9]

In November 2025, EDGE Group of the United Arab Emirates signed a cooperation agreement with Republikorp during the Dubai Airshow 2025 involving localized production and co-development of defense systems in Indonesia.[10]
