History

2021-2025

Practically People was formed by four performers, Dmitri Bell, Jane Harris, Wills Brinton, and Josh Mersky. At the time of formation, the band went by their original name, Practically Pirates. During this early era, Practically People (then known as Practically Pirates) released an album, ORIGINS[2], an EP, HONEYBUTTER, and two singles, BOX OF MINE and CRUMBS.[3] In February 2025, frontman Dmitri Bell would leave the band. With only three members left, the band decided to change their music and find new themes. "Practically People" was chosen as the new name, with a whole rebrand for the band. Since their rebrand, Practically Pirate's discography was taken off streaming. On the 4th of October, 2025, Practically People semi-debuted a double single entitled "Bloodhound." Jane Harris took the role of vocalist, and the band continued at a trio for the remainder of the year.[1]

2026-present

The band acquired a new member, Caleb Gollubier, as a second guitarist, in early 2026. Their new EP, Fawnskin, is set to release on the 21st of March, 2026.
