Comment: Frankly it would be unlikely that this company, in common with the vast majority of companies, would be able to meet the requirements of WP:SIRS. This draft does not demonstrate notability under the definition. ChrysGalley (talk) 11:07, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
Comment: I am affiliated with PetsOnMe Insurance and am working on a draft about the company. I am seeking to follow Wikipedia policies by using independent reliable sources and the Articles for Creation process. AUS insurance drafter (talk) 01:44, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
PetsOnMe Insurance is an Australian pet insurance company offering policies for dogs and cats in Australia. The company is based in Newcastle, New South Wales, and its insurance products are underwritten by Pacific International Insurance.[1]
History
PetsOnMe was founded in 2007 by Alex Bedwani as an online marketplace for pet minding and walking services.[1] According to Insurance News, the company introduced pet insurance products after receiving feedback from its member base of over 52,000 pet owners that pet cover options in Australia were too limited.[1] The insurance offering was launched in 2021.[1]
Insurance News reported that Bedwani stated the company aimed to capture up to 5 per cent of the Australian pet insurance market within five years, noting that pet insurance uptake in Australia was below 10 per cent compared with more than 40 per cent in the United Kingdom.[1]
Products and operations
PetsOnMe offers three pet insurance plans—Accident, Classic, and Deluxe—which are underwritten by Pacific International Insurance.[1] The plans have been reviewed by CHOICE, Australia's independent consumer advocacy organisation.[2]
In addition to insurance, PetsOnMe operates an online marketplace connecting pet owners with pet-sitting, dog-walking, and boarding services.[1]
