Parch GNU/Linux یک توزیع لینوکس مبتنی بر Arch Linux است که هدف آن ارائهٔ تجربه‌ای سریع، سبک و فارسی‌پسند برای کاربران است. این توزیع شامل ابزارهای آماده برای استفاده، نصب‌کنندهٔ گرافیکی و پشتیبانی کامل از زبان فارسی می‌شود و تلاش می‌کند ویژگی‌های Arch Linux را با سهولت استفاده برای کاربران عادی ترکیب کند.^[1]

Parch Linux توسط جامعه‌ای از توسعه‌دهندگان فارسی‌زبان ایجاد شد تا تجربهٔ Arch Linux را برای کاربران ایرانی و فارسی‌زبان ساده‌تر کند. برخلاف Arch اصلی که نصب آن به صورت خط فرمانی و پیچیده است، Parch نصب‌کنندهٔ گرافیکی و بسته‌های از پیش پیکربندی‌شده ارائه می‌دهد و از همان ابتدا محیط دسکتاپ با پشتیبانی از زبان فارسی فراهم است.^[2]

• پایهٔ Arch Linux: بهره‌مندی از معماری Rolling Release، دسترسی به مخازن Arch و AUR.
• نصب‌کنندهٔ گرافیکی Calamares برای ساده کردن فرآیند نصب.
• پشتیبانی کامل از فارسی: فونت‌ها، راست‌به‌چپ بودن محیط دسکتاپ و تقویم جلالی.
• محیط دسکتاپ متنوع: KDE Plasma، GNOME، XFCE و سایر محیط‌ها.
• به‌روزرسانی مداوم بدون نیاز به نصب مجدد سیستم.
• متن‌باز و رایگان: تمام بسته‌ها قابل تغییر و اشتراک‌گذاری هستند.

Parch GNU/Linux نسخه‌های متعددی ارائه می‌دهد که شامل محیط‌های دسکتاپ محبوب مانند KDE Plasma، GNOME و XFCE است. هر نسخه از ابتدا با تنظیمات مناسب برای فارسی‌زبان‌ها آماده شده است و نرم‌افزارهای کاربردی پایه در آن پیش‌نصب شده‌اند.^[3]

هدف اصلی Parch Linux ارائهٔ تجربهٔ Arch Linux با سهولت نصب و استفاده و پشتیبانی از زبان و فرهنگ فارسی است. این توزیع تلاش می‌کند تا تجربهٔ کاربر نهایی ساده و راحت باشد بدون آنکه قدرت و انعطاف Arch Linux از بین برود.^[4]
