Otis Avram Chodosh is a mathematician working in geometry and analysis of PDEs. He is an associate professor at Stanford University.[1] In 2026, he was awarded the New Horizons in Mathematics Prize.[2]
Education
He obtained his PhD at Stanford in 2015, with Simon Brendle and Michael Eichmair as advisors (thesis: The geometry of asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds). He has supervised three Ph.D. students.[3][4]
Honors and awards
In 2015, Chodosh was awarded the Walter J. Gores Award, Stanford's highest award for excellence in teaching.[1]
He received a Sloan Fellowship in 2020.[5]
He was awarded a Frontiers of Science Award jointly with Christos Mantoulidis in 2024.[6]
In 2026, he was awarded the New Horizons in Mathematics Prize.[2]
He will deliver a lecture at the 2026 International Congress of Mathematicians.[6]
