Osceola Science Charter School (OSCS) is a tuition-free, public charter school located in Kissimmee, Florida. The school focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and serves students from kindergarten through 10th grade, soon to be expanded to 12th. It operates under the authority of the Osceola County School District and accepts students through a lottery-based admission process.
History
Osceola Science Charter School was founded to offer a rigorous STEM-focused education in a supportive and inclusive environment. Since its establishment, the school has emphasized academic excellence, innovation, and critical thinking.
Beginning with the 2024–2025 academic year, OSCS initiated the expansion of its high school program. The school began by opening a 9th-grade program in 2024, officially making it a K–9 institution. The following year, 10th-grade was opened. OSCS plans to add one additional high school grade level each subsequent year:
11th grade in 2026–2027
12th grade in 2027–2028
This expansion will result in OSCS becoming a full K–12 charter school by the 2027–2028 academic year.
