Nahmias is an American fashion brand founded in 2018 by designer Doni Nahmias in Los Angeles, California.[1] The brand produces menswear collections influenced by elements associated with California culture.[2]
History
The brand was established in 2018 by Doni Nahmias, a self-taught designer based in Southern California.[1] Prior to launching the label, Nahmias developed garments independently before formally founding the company in Los Angeles.[1] According to Forbes, the label expanded its visibility through runway presentations and retail partnerships in the years following its founding.[1]
Collections and presentations
Nahmias produces seasonal ready-to-wear menswear collections.[3] The brand has presented collections internationally, including runway presentations during Paris Fashion Week.[3]
The Fall–Winter 2026 collection received coverage from fashion publications including Complex, which reviewed the collection and discussed its thematic references and presentation.[4]
Media coverage
The brand has received coverage in fashion and lifestyle publications including Vanity Fair, Complex, and Forbes.[5][6]
In 2025 and 2026, media attention focused on custom apparel designed by Nahmias and worn by actor Timothée Chalamet during promotional appearances for the film Marty Supreme.[5][6] Coverage discussed both the garment and Nahmias’s design background and production process.[6]
Retail
Nahmias products are distributed through select retailers and through the brand’s direct channels.[7] In 2024, the company opened a standalone retail location in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles.[7]
The brand has also collaborated with retailers for pop-up events, including a Maxfield-hosted event covered by Women's Wear Daily.[8]
Design
The label produces contemporary ready-to-wear menswear collections influenced by skateboarding, surf, and athletic references associated with California culture.[2] The brand incorporates casual silhouettes and tailored elements within its collections.[2]
