Musa Juka was an Albanian politician and senior state official who served as a minister during the period of the Kingdom of Albania. He held ministerial office under the government of Kostaq Kotta during the reign of King Zog I, contributing to the consolidation of the Albanian state in the late 1920s.
Political career
Musa Juka was active in Albanian public life during the early years of the monarchy, a period marked by strong centralization of power and institutional consolidation. He was part of the political elite aligned with King Zog I and supported the royal government's efforts to strengthen state authority and modernize public administration.
Ministerial office
Musa Juka served as a member of the First Royal Government of Kostaq Kotta from 5 September 1928 to 5 March 1930. During this period, he held the portfolio of:
- Minister of Public Works, Agriculture and National Economy
In this role, Juka was responsible for overseeing infrastructure development, agricultural administration, and economic policy in line with the priorities of the royal regime. His work formed part of broader government efforts aimed at economic organization, infrastructural expansion, and increased state involvement in key sectors.
Political context
Juka's ministerial tenure took place within a highly centralized political system, where executive authority was concentrated in the hands of the monarch. The government functioned primarily as an extension of royal power, with limited political pluralism and restricted opposition activity.
Legacy
Although not regarded as a leading political figure of his era, Musa Juka remains representative of the group of ministers and administrators who played supporting roles in the governance and institutional development of Albania during the monarchical period.
