Comment: Three sources are to the SAAS provider, and the other source is not considered reliable. Better sources are needed, but most SAAS will not qualify for an article due to the notability requirements. ChrysGalley (talk) 17:00, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Meridian is a software as a service (SaaS) platform that provides artificial intelligence search visibility analytics for brands and enterprises. Operating at trymeridian.com, the platform monitors how brands appear in AI-generated search results across platforms such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Perplexity.[1][2]
History
Meridian was co-founded by Alex Dees and Zack Xuereb and is headquartered in New York City.[1][2] Xuereb, a Maltese entrepreneur with a background in mathematics and computer science from the University of Malta, previously worked in blockchain technology before co-founding Meridian.[2] Dees previously worked in fintech as head of business development at an embedded fintech company.[1]
The company launched publicly in October 2025 within the emerging field of generative engine optimization (GEO).[1] By late 2025, the platform had over 100 companies as clients, including e-commerce brands and marketing agencies.[2]
The company received venture capital funding.[2] In March 2026, Stifel Financial featured Dees in its NextGen Investor Webinar series and profiled the company in its Stifel Bits newsletter.[3]
Platform
Meridian's platform tracks brand visibility within AI-powered search engines. It measures how often a brand is mentioned in AI responses, where a brand ranks within list-style AI answers, and how AI systems describe a brand.[1]
The platform runs automated prompts across AI platforms to analyze which brands appear in AI-generated answers, the context and sentiment of those mentions, and which sources the AI cites.[2] In addition to its self-serve analytics tools, Meridian offers a managed full-service option that includes content production, technical recommendations, and strategy implementation.[2]
Meridian's website, designed by agency Refokus, was named Website of the Day by the CSS Design Awards on October 18, 2025, receiving a judge's score of 7.94 out of 10.[4]
Media appearances
Dees has appeared on podcasts discussing AI search and brand visibility, including Search with Candour[5] and Entrepreneurs on Fire.[6]
