Marcus Mordaunt Bertrand Chambers was a British motor racing manager.

He was the first manager of the competition department at BMC (the British Motor Corporation). His cars and drivers beat German, French and Italian opposition on home ground in the 1950s and 60s. He made stars of young women drivers like Nancy Mitchell and Pat Moss, sister of Stirling Moss, and helped make the Austin Healey 3000 a household name with victories in classic endurance road rallies like the Alpine and the Liège-Rome-Liège. Chambers was the son of Bertram Chambers and father of Hugh and Erika Chambers.
Early life
Career
Marcus Chambers was BMC Competition Manager from 1955-1961, the period during which the Works Austin-Healey was in its heyday. His automotive experience prior to this included driving HRGs at Le Mans, with a class win in 1939, and acting as team manager during 1947 and 1948.
Personal life
Chambers was the father of Hugh Chambers and Erika Chambers from different marriages.
He passed away in 2009 at the age of 98.
