Mahbouba Gharbi (* 1973 in Tunis) is an engineer and computer scientist specialising in software engineering and software architecture.
Life
From 1994 to 1999, Gharbi studied Telecommunications and Information Technology at ENS Telecom Paris and Communications Engineering and Data Processing at the University of Stuttgart, earning a double degree in engineering. Since 1999, she has worked as a Software Architect and Enterprise Architect on various projects. In 2004, she founded the IT consulting company ITech Progress GmbH, which she continues to lead today as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Architect.
Mahbouba Gharbi is a founding member of the International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB e.V.). She is actively involved on a voluntary basis in the development of curricula, certification examinations for software architects, and examination regulations. From 2008 to May 2023, she served as Chairwoman of the Board. In addition, she is a certified and active trainer for courses at both the Foundation Level and Advanced Level of the Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA) program.
Since 2009, Mahbouba Gharbi has served as Director and Trainer at ITech Academy, with locations in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Nuremberg, and Frankfurt-Eschborn. The Academy’s portfolio comprises training courses, workshops, and in-house programs in Software Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and Software Development.
In addition, Mahbouba Gharbi lectures at international universities and regularly delivers talks on Software Architecture at leading international conferences such as OOP and Software Architecture Gathering. She is also an author and publishes articles in professional journals.
Since 2021, Mahbouba Gharbi has been serving as a business representative on the Advisory Board of the Department of Computer Science at Worms University of Applied Sciences. She was appointed to the advisory committee for the Applied Computer Science and Mobile Computing degree programs and contributes to the academic development of the curricula.
