MagisterApp is a children’s video game label owned by the Italian studio Bytwice S.r.l..[1] It publishes games for Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, including the Nintendo Switch titles Puppy Cars and Puzzles & Colors.[2][3] Developer listings on the App Store and Google Play show more than 30 children’s apps released under the MagisterApp name, including Dirty Farm: Games for Kids 2–5 and Dinosaur Games for Kids – Dig!.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
History
Bytwice S.r.l. was founded in 2012 and publishes children’s games under the MagisterApp label.[11] The studio’s mobile titles appear on both the Apple App Store and Google Play through official developer listings.[12][13]
Early releases included preschool-oriented puzzle and coloring titles such as Savanna – Puzzles and Coloring.[14][15]
By the mid-2010s, MagisterApp titles were grouped into recurring thematic series. The “Archaeologist” line focused on discovery and historical settings, including Archaeologist – Ancient Egypt.[16][17] Around the same period, the label also released routine-based children’s games such as Dirty Kids.[18][19]
The catalogue also included narrative-driven titles, such as Water Drops: Music Kids Game (The Dance of the Little Water Drops) and Platypus: Fairy Tales for Kids (The Platypus’ Search).[20][21][22][23]
Between 2019 and 2021, makeover and styling entries were added, including Princess Makeover: Hair Salon.[24][25]
In 2023, MagisterApp released Puppy Cars – Games for Kids 3+, a 3D children’s driving game, on mobile platforms.[26][27] A Nintendo Switch version followed in 2024 via Nintendo eShop.[28]
In 2024, Puzzles & Colors: Kids Games was released as a hub-style title collecting multiple puzzle and coloring experiences under a single app.[29][30] The Nintendo Switch version, Puzzles & Colors Games for Kids Toddler Coloring Book Draw Paint, followed in 2025.[31]
In 2025, MagisterApp introduced a subscription offer named MagisterApp Plus, described in storefront text and update notes as providing access to its catalogue under a single subscription.[32][33]
Reception
MagisterApp titles have received coverage from third-party review and safety programs. The Australian Council on Children and the Media (ACCM) reviewed Archaeologist – Ancient Egypt (2017), describing an educational app in which children discover and reconstruct artefacts.[34] ACCM also reviewed Dirty Farm: Animals & Games for toddlers and kids (2018), summarizing it as a farm care game focused on cleaning and feeding animals.[35]
The third-party site Educational App Store hosts listings for MagisterApp titles including Dirty Farm and the Archeologist series.[36][37]
Dinosaur Games for Kids – Dig! appears in the kidSAFE Seal Program’s public certified products listing.[38] On the Italian App Store, the title is displayed with the label “Editor's Choice”.[39]
In Italy, the educational project Riconnessioni featured and tested the MagisterApp title Sorpresa in a 2022 holiday-themed article about digital resources for children.[40]
On Google Play, the MagisterApp developer profile displays the “Teacher Approved” badge on selected children’s titles.[41]
