Luke Moller is a professional string musician and producer[1] from Brisbane, Queensland. He is known for work in the country and bluegrass genres, including with American artists Hayes Carll, David Lowery and Maddie & Tae.[2][3][4]

His work with artists, as well as his own materials, has over 16 million streams globally.[5]

Education & Early Career

Moller studied classical violin performance at the Queensland Conservatorium, and jazz violin performance at Berklee College, Boston, USA[6].

Moller was a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra[7], and a former member of The Luke Moller Quartet[8], gypsy jazz and flamenco group The Saruzu Quartet[9], as well as country group The Alan Ladds[10].

Awards & Recognition

Moller won the Australian National Bluegrass Championships at Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2008 for fiddle, and in 2011 for mandolin.[11]

Animated short Chomp, where he was a contributing musical editor, won multiple awards in 2020 including at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, Cult Critic Movie Awards and World Film Carnival, Singapore.[12]

Moller was also a finalist in the 2021 Australian Folk Music Awards 'Traditional Folk Music Album of the Year' category for his collaboration on The Bulletin Debate with Liam Gerner. [13]

He played fiddle and mandolin for 2022 Apple Arcade Game of the Year, Wylde Flowers, the debut gaming title from Australian based Studio Drydock[14].

In 2024 Moller was awarded a Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Creative Fellowship to travel to Nashville, USA and improve his skills in outlaw country style electric guitar under guidance from Brothers Osborne guitarist, Jason Graumlich.[15]
