Justin Orr is an American former bobsledder and fitness entrepreneur. He was named to the United States bobsled national team in 2001 and competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Orr is also the founder of Iron Orr Fitness, a personal training business based in San Diego, California.
Athletic career
Orr competed as a brakeman on the four-man sled piloted by Mike Dionne during the 2002 U.S. Olympic Trials in Park City, Utah, where their crew placed third.[1][2] Earlier that year he was named to the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation’s USA-3 national team.[3] His appearances included International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Cup competition.[4] Orr was later mentioned in national coverage of the U.S. sled program, including a 2010 NPR report on the team’s struggles.[5]
Prior to bobsledding, Orr appeared on the University of Notre Dame football roster as a wide receiver in 1996.[6]
Business career
Following his athletic career, Orr founded Iron Orr Fitness, a personal training company headquartered in San Diego, California.[7]
Since 2018, Iron Orr Fitness has served as (or been described as) the official strength and conditioning partner of the San Diego Seals, a professional lacrosse team competing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).[8]
Iron Orr (and/or the company) was also featured in the Amazon Prime docuseries War on the Floor: A Season with the San Diego Seals, a five-part behind-the-scenes series about the Seals’ 2024 season.[8] [9]
