Jordan Mislov

Jordan Mislov is an Australian former schoolboy rugby union player from the Central Coast of New South Wales. He represented the Australia Schoolboys rugby union team between 2012 and 2013, earning nine international caps.[1] He primarily played as a fullback or centre in the backline.[2]

Early life and education

Mislov grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales and attended Brisbane Water Secondary College in Woy Woy.[3] During his time at school, he played alongside future NRL player Nicho Hynes.[4] In 2011, the school rugby team won the New South Wales state school rugby championship.[5]

Junior career

Rugby league

Mislov played junior rugby league with local Central Coast clubs: the Umina Bunnies and Woy Woy Lions.[6]

Rugby union

He progressed through representative development pathways including Central Coast representative rugby, Central Coast Sports Academy, NSW Combined High Schools rugby union team, and NSW Schools rugby union team.[7]

Australia Schoolboys (2012–2013)

Mislov was selected for the Australia Schoolboys rugby union team, one of the most prestigious teams for secondary school rugby in Australia. He earned nine international caps between 2012 and 2013, playing against touring schoolboy teams from countries such as New Zealand, England, and South Africa.[8]

Playing style

He primarily played as a fullback or centre and was known for speed, agility, strong running lines, reliable defence, and the ability to counterattack from deep positions.[9]

Professional opportunity and injury

At the age of 17, Mislov reportedly received an offer to join French professional rugby club RC Toulon, but a severe knee injury forced him to retire from competitive rugby before pursuing a professional career.[10]
