Jean Wang
Jean Wang is the founder and chief executive officer of MQJC Technology, a Singapore.[1]-based global company focused on developing AI and network technologies to serve the nearly 2.1 billion Muslim community worldwide.
Early life and education
Wang graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2007. She obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from National University of Singapore in 2010. Later, she pursued postgraduate studies and obtained advanced degrees from National University of Singapore and other institutions in the United States and Europe.
Career
Role at JOYY and BIGO LIVE (2015–2017)
In late 2015, Wang joined JOYY Inc. as a Senior Operations Director. Subsequently, as the Head of Overseas Operations for BIGO TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD., she led the global operations of the live-streaming platform BIGO LIVE, which drove the product expand into multiple international markets under a year.
MQJC Technology (2019 - Now)
In 2019, she founded MQJC TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD.[2]. Its business has expanded to partial MENA regions and most major Arabic-speaking countries, with over 100 million cumulative app downloads and more than 60 million total registrations.
Charity
In 2023, Wang led employees of MQJC Technology in a visit to the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home in Singapore. During the visit, she donated tens of thousands dollars worth of care packages on behalf of the company, including daily necessities and appliances, to seniors without family[3]
In the same year, Wang also visited the APSN Chaoyang School in Singapore, a school for students with special needs, with a team of staff. She donated tens of thousands dollars worth of care packages, including sets of stationery and daily necessities.
