İmrahor (Ottoman Turkish: مير اخور), mirahur, mirahor or emîr-i ahûr, The court official in the Ottoman Empire, who has responsibilities for the sultan's horses. The Imrahors who were trained in the outer palace were generally chosen from among the palace boys. These officials are also known to have been used for some of the Sultan's personal needs. The Imrahor neighborhood in the Fatih district of Istanbul takes its name from here. In addition to these, various viziers were promoted from the rank of imrahor. Category:Ottoman titles
