iFAST Global Bank (also known as iFAST GB or iGB) is a British digital bank headquartered in London, England, and a subsidiary of Singapore-listed iFAST Corporation. The bank was established following iFAST Corporation's acquisition of BFC Bank in 2022 and was subsequently rebranded as iFAST Global Bank.[1][2]

The bank is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by both the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.[3]

History

iFAST Global Bank traces its origins to the acquisition of BFC Bank by Singapore-listed iFAST Corporation in 2022. Prior to entering banking, iFAST Corporation operated as a financial technology and wealth management company, having been founded in Singapore in 2000 by Lim Chung Chun and Moh Hon Meng. The company launched the Fundsupermart investment platform and was listed on the Singapore Exchange in 2014.[4]

In 2020, iFAST Corporation led a consortium that applied for a digital wholesale banking licence in Singapore under the Monetary Authority of Singapore's digital banking framework.[5]

Acquisition of BFC Bank

In January 2022, iFAST Corporation acquired an 85% stake in BFC Bank, a United Kingdom-based bank specialising in foreign exchange and remittance services, for approximately £40 million.[6][7]

The acquisition formed part of iFAST Corporation's strategy to expand from wealth management into banking services and develop a global financial services platform.[8]

Following the acquisition, BFC Bank was renamed iFAST Global Bank in April 2022.[9]

Launch of digital personal banking

In April 2023, iFAST Global Bank launched its digital personal banking platform in the United Kingdom.[10][11]

The platform offered multi-currency banking services and was made available to customers both within and outside the United Kingdom.[12]

The launch was also covered by industry publication Payment Expert, which reported on the bank's introduction of digital personal banking services in the United Kingdom.[13]

Profitability

In 2025, iFAST Global Bank achieved its first full year of profitability following its acquisition and rebranding from BFC Bank.[14]

Services

iFAST Global Bank provides personal and business banking services, including multi-currency accounts, international payment services and fixed-term deposit products.[15][16]
