Highlight Films is an Israeli film, television, and video production services company founded in 1998 and headquartered in Tel Aviv. The company provides production services for international broadcasters, streaming platforms, corporations, and news organizations filming in Israel, the Palestinian territories, and across the Middle East. It is one of the longest-operating production services companies in Israel.
History
Highlight Films was founded in 1998 by Noam Shalev, a filmmaker and producer educated in New York City. The company positioned itself as a local production partner for international crews filming in Israel and the Palestinian territories. It operates offices in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem.[1]
In 2009, Highlight Films produced Jerusalem 3D, an IMAX documentary film, described as one of the first IMAX productions made in Israel.[2]
The company served as production services company in Israel for Transparent, an Amazon Studios drama series, for episodes filmed in Israel.[3]
In 2023–2025, Highlight Films was commissioned by the Museum of Tolerance, Jerusalem, to produce a video installation about women survivors of the October 7, 2023 attack.[4]
Services
Highlight Films provides production services for visiting international crews and for remote productions. Services include camera crews, equipment rental (including 4K and HD cameras, aerial drone rigs, IMAX, VR 360, and 3D), producer and fixer services, research, logistics, location scouting, security coordination, film permits, post-production, uplink and satellite feed services, and remote production including live video and audio feeds. The company maintains a stock footage library and also operates the filminisrael.com resource for international production information.
