Comment: Are there any sources talking about this that are listed from WP:VG/S? Right now, I currently only see pocketgamer.biz, although that talks about the sequel and even then, its not significant coverage for the sequel. It would be great to include reliable video game sources from the WP:VG/S link (ideally three). JuniperChill (talk) 17:56, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Gacha Life is a 2018 mobile roleplaying game developed by Lunime Inc.[1] The game focuses on the gacha look with a dress up element involved. The game was released in October 2018 for IOS and Android.
Premise
The game allows the player to create a character, where the player can dress them up however they want. The game provides various background scenery, where the character can spawn in and do various types of poses and actions.[2] Players can also earn currency, and need more after they run out.[3]
Reception
Most reviews have been positive, with most stating that the game has tons of creativity.[4] However, some have expressed concern about the game's built-in forum section where inappropriate content can be viewed by others.[5][6] In July 2019, a 10-year-old forum user was asked to send a topless photograph of herself in order to verify her age. The user stated that the forum was a safe space for 14 year olds.[7][8]
Collaborations
A collaboration between PicsArt and Gacha Life occurred in October 2019 as a Halloween event. Users were given the task to create a unique image or edit and show it off for voting.[9]
Sequel
A sequel was released in October 2023 titled Gacha Life 2, with similar features from the first game being implemented and more adjustable features. The game was topped as the number 1 game worldwide for a brief amount of time.[10]
