Draft:For Goodness Sake

For Goodness Sake (also known as FGS) is a research and digital health company that conducts peer-reviewed scientific studies on human sexuality, intimacy, and pleasure, and translates those findings into publicly accessible educational resources. The company partners with academic researchers at Indiana University and Yale University.[1][2]

For Goodness Sake's flagship product is OMGYES, an online educational platform focused on the science of women's sexual pleasure.

History

For Goodness Sake was founded by Rob Perkins and Lydia Daniller.[3] The company emerged from a research collaboration with Indiana University's School of Public Health, focused on addressing a recognized gap in peer-reviewed scientific literature on the specific mechanics of women's sexual pleasure. The company received $4.6 million in research funding to support that work.[4]

The company's first product, OMGYES, launched in December 2015.[5]

Research

For Goodness Sake conducts large-scale empirical research on human sexuality in partnership with academic institutions. The company's methodology combines in-depth qualitative interviews with nationally representative probability surveys, with findings submitted for peer-reviewed publication.

Research conducted in partnership with For Goodness Sake has appeared in multiple peer-reviewed journals. A 2017 study in the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy, led by Debby Herbenick at Indiana University, drew on a nationally representative survey of 1,055 women aged 18 to 94 and found that women reported highly diverse preferences for genital touch in terms of location, pressure, shape, and pattern.[6] A 2021 study in PLOS ONE, conducted by researchers from Indiana University and For Goodness Sake, LLC, drew on a nationally representative survey of 3,017 women and identified four techniques — shallowing, angling, rocking, and pairing — that women reported using to increase pleasure during vaginal penetration.[7] The findings received coverage from Forbes in 2025 in the context of broader public interest in shallowing as a sexual technique.[8] A 2022 study in The Journal of Sex Research assessed the OMGYES platform as a direct educational intervention, finding statistically significant improvements in participants' knowledge of their own pleasure preferences and self-reported quality of sexual experiences.[9]

Products

OMGYES

OMGYES is For Goodness Sake's flagship educational platform, launched in 2015. The platform presents research findings through video demonstrations featuring real women discussing and demonstrating specific techniques for sexual pleasure. By 2023, the platform had grown to more than one million users.[10]

The Glows

The Glows is an intimacy product for couples developed by For Goodness Sake, launched in early 2026.[11] The product consists of 15 weekly sealed explorations that guide couples through new forms of playful touch and affection. It is available as a physical box with scratch-off cards and as a digital web experience.
