Ezu
Ezu is a British Asian singer, songwriter, and producer from South London, United Kingdom. He is known for blending contemporary R&B and pop with Punjabi and Hindi musical influences, creating a sound that reflects both his South Asian heritage and his London upbringing.
Early Life and Background
Ezu was born and raised in South London to parents who were born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, and are of Christian faith. Growing up in a British Pakistani Christian household, he was exposed to South Asian cultural traditions while also being influenced by the diverse musical landscape of South London.
He began singing at the age of four and was a member of his local church choir during childhood. Although he has no formal classical training in music, he developed his abilities independently. His parents are both talented singers, which contributed to a musically supportive upbringing.
At the age of 13, Ezu began experimenting with music production, teaching himself the fundamentals of beat-making and arrangement. By 15, he had started writing his own songs. His self-taught approach, combined with influences from gospel music, Punjabi and Hindi traditions, and contemporary UK R&B and pop, shaped his artistic identity and creative direction.

Ezu began his career as an independent artist, releasing music that showcased his talent as a vocalist, songwriter & producer. His work is characterized by melodic songwriting, smooth vocal delivery, and layered production that incorporates South Asian musical textures within a contemporary R&B and pop framework.
Through digital platforms, independent releases, and live performances, Ezu has built a growing audience and established himself globally as leading south asian artist. He has gained hundreds of millions of streams across all digital platforms and has produced behind the scenes for multiple artists such as Amrit Maan, Garry Sandhu, The PropheC & many more.
He has worked with some of the most influential and leading figures in the music industry including Karan Aujla, Jay Sean, Gurinder Gill, Channi Nattan & Inderpal Moga, Bilal Saeed, Harshdeep Kaur, The PropheC & many more.
- He started his career by mixing popular songs and some of his famous mixes are Kisi Aur Naal, Humraah x Savage Love, and Peed x Pop Smoke x Lil Tjay.
- In 2019, Ezu debuts his first album ”Arrival”, which was released by Vip Records.
- The arrival album also featured some Punjabi artists like The PropheC, Ikka, Jenny Johal, Fateh, Raxstar, and Amar Sandhu
- In 2020, he was featured in the song ”Mann Di Nahi” along with Navaan Sandhu, which was released on Collab Creations.
Later, he came out with the song ”Jannat” featuring Manpreet Toor, and the song received a huge response from the audience.
In 2022 he released the viral hit ‘Bahara X’ which trended in multiple countries and was featured as the top 50 Bollywood songs of the year. Bollywood actress and icon Madhuri Dixit along with other celebrities created dance videos to the song.
In 2023 he released ‘Dilawara’ with The PropheC which went onto performing exceptionally well and was considered top 50 punjabi songs of the year. The song went onto to streaming over 85+ million times on Spotify and received 120+ million views on YouTube.
Musical Style and Influences
Ezu’s music blends R&B and pop with Punjabi and Hindi influences. His sound reflects a fusion of Western song structures with melodic phrasing inspired by South Asian traditions.
He states in many interviews his musical influences were Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ghulam Ali, Mohammad Rafi & western musicians such as Usher, Justin Timberlake & Jay Sean.
