Draft:Eron Falbo

  • Comment: Note to reviewer: an article under this title was deleted at AfD in April 2026, nominated as an SPA relic with "no indication of the album having any success". This is a new text written to the sources that discussion never saw: a 7/10 print review in Uncut (Bud Scoppa, June 2014, p. 76), reviews in The Big Takeover and Popdose, national coverage in three Brazilian dailies, BBC Radio 2 airplay, and obituaries in SPIN, Exclaim! and O Globo recording the album as producer Bob Johnston's last studio production. Conflict of interest: I am the subject (declared on my user page). The Portuguese Wikipedia article was published in August 2026 after independent pre-publication review. I will not move this draft or edit it outside the AfC process. Eronfalbo (talk) 19:49, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

Eron Falbo (born 12 March 1985) is a Brazilian entrepreneur, singer-songwriter and podcaster. He became known for his debut album 73 (2013), produced by the American record producer Bob Johnston, and for the interview podcast No Alvo com Eron Falbo. He is the founder of Bridge Legacy, a wealth consultancy for high-net-worth families.[1]

Music career

Falbo began in music in Brasília as a DJ and then as singer and guitarist of Os Julianos, a covers band playing blues and classic rock, with which he played a season of shows on cruise ships; after the band dissolved he travelled to the United States.[2][3] In 2011 his single "Beat the Drums" was played on Dermot O'Leary's programme on BBC Radio 2.[4] The single's London release was managed by Tony Calder, the English music manager known for his work with the Rolling Stones.[5]

His debut album, 73, was produced by Johnston, the producer of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash, who was semi-retired at the time.[6][7] Recorded in Nashville and at Konk Studios in London, the album was released in 2013 and received national coverage in Brazil from O Globo,[2] Correio Braziliense[8] and O Dia,[3] with reviews in Uncut, The Big Takeover[7] and Popdose.[9]

73 was the last studio album Johnston produced, as recorded in obituaries in O Globo, the American magazine SPIN and the Canadian magazine Exclaim!.[a][11][12][13]

In 2015 Falbo founded Plectro, a São Paulo music label and production company that promoted independent artists and ran the open-stage series Gênesis de Gênios.[14][15]

Reception

Reviewing 73 for Uncut, Bud Scoppa rated it 7/10, describing a "Brazilian-born singer-songwriter obsessed with the early records of Dylan, Cohen and Simon & Garfunkel" who "tracks down Bob Johnston ... and persuades the semi-retired septuagenarian to helm his debut album"; Scoppa found that "Falbo's theatrical delivery can be over the top, and Johnston's kitchen-sink production threatens to sink under its own weight at times, but there's no mistaking the sheer joy that animates this improbable collaboration".[6] Cody Conard of The Big Takeover wrote that Falbo "is such an exciting musician, it was enough to grab the attention of famed-Dylan producer Bob Johnston and bring him out of retirement to produce this record".[7]

No Alvo com Eron Falbo

In March 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Falbo created the interview podcast No Alvo com Eron Falbo, with guests including intellectuals, politicians and figures from sport and business; it has run to more than 100 episodes.[16][17] The programme was highlighted by O Globo among rising podcasts in Rio de Janeiro,[16] profiled by Revista Quem[18] and covered by Diário do Rio.[19] On 16 January 2021 the programme was the cover feature of O Globo's Zona Sul section, in a report on Rio podcasters.[20]

Business career

In 2022 Falbo became a partner in the Rio de Janeiro nightclub SubStation.[21] He served as the partner responsible for the Brazilian operations of the migration platform Multipolitan, a position he later left.[22][23] In 2025 he founded Bridge Legacy, a jurisdiction-planning and wealth consultancy for high-net-worth families, whose launch was covered by Estadão.[1] He writes on wealth planning for outlets including Investing.com Brasil and InfoMoney.[24]
