The Digod Junction railway station (station code: DXD) is a railway station in the Kota district of Rajasthan, India. It serves the town of Digod and is part of the West Central Railway zone of Indian Railways.[1]
Overview
Digod railway station is a small but important station in the Kota railway division. It lies on the Kota–Bina railway section and connects nearby towns and rural areas with the city of Kota.[2]
The station has two platforms and is located on a double-line electrified track under the West Central Railway zone.[3]
Connectivity
Several passenger and express trains pass through Digod railway station, connecting it with major cities such as Kota and Bina.[4]
Future development
The station is expected to gain importance due to the proposed Sheopur–Kota railway line, which is planned to pass through Digod and improve regional connectivity between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.[5]
Recent reports also suggest that a new survey for the Kota–Sheopur broad gauge railway line may further enhance connectivity through Digod.[6]
