Intro
David Loew (born 20 March 1967) is a Swiss business executive. He has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ipsen since 1 July 2020².
Early life and education
Loew gratuated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a MBA from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland¹.
Career
Loew began his career in 1990 at Coopers & Lybrand and Hewlett Packard¹. He joined Roche in 1992, where he held various positions, including Global Oncology Head, Global Chief Marketing Officer & Head of Global Product Strategy, and Regional Head for Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa¹.
In July 2013, Loew joined Sanofi as Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Europe¹. In 2016, he was appointed CEO of Sanofi Pasteur Vaccines¹.
Ipsen
On 28 May 2020, Ipsen’s Board of Directors appointed Loew as CEO and Board Member, effective 1 July 2020². He is based at Ipsen’s headquarters in Paris, France.
Loew succeeded Aymeric Le Chatelier as CEO of Ipsen².
Board memberships and affiliations
Loew is a member of the boards of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA), the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries & Associations (EFPIA), and G5 Santé, the federation of French pharmaceutical companies.
