Daeil Systems (대일시스템) is a South Korean manufacturer of vibration isolation equipment for precision instruments, including active vibration isolation systems, optical tables, and acoustic enclosures. The company is headquartered in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.[2]
History
The company was founded in February 1984 by Kim Kwang-san as Daeil Machinery (대일기공), an industrial machinery and factory automation business, and adopted the name Daeil Systems in 1988.[2] According to the Digital Encyclopedia of Yongin Culture published by the Academy of Korean Studies, the company completed domestic development of a vibration isolation table in 1989 and converted its business to vibration isolation equipment manufacturing.[2] It was incorporated in 1996, designated a venture business in 1999, and relocated its headquarters and factory to Yongin in 2000.[2]
In 2017, as part of a research and development program supported by Gyeonggi Province, the company developed an active vibration isolation device with a settling time of 0.2 seconds for semiconductor and flat-panel display inspection equipment.[3] In December 2023, it received the US$5 million Export Tower award at South Korea's 60th Trade Day ceremony.[4]
Products
Daeil Systems manufactures pneumatic and active vibration isolation systems, optical tables and breadboards, vibration isolation workstations, and acoustic enclosures, which are used with instruments sensitive to low-frequency vibration such as electron microscopes and semiconductor metrology equipment.[2][5] Its optical tables and vibration isolators have been used as laboratory apparatus in published research.[6][7]
