Combi Packaging Systems is a global manufacturer of custom, end-of-line packaging systems. Headquartered in North Canton, Ohio. [1]

Company history

Founded in 1979, the company began as the International Machine and Bottle Orders Exchange, by purchasing and refurbishing Coca-cola bottling plants.[2]

In 1984, the company began building machinery that loaded finished goods into corrugated boxes. The company grew quickly over the next decade and started expanding its product line to include case erectors and drop packers. In 1999, the company was purchased in a joint venture between multinational manufacturer 3M and Greece-based manufacturer Mallis Group,[3] and renamed Combi Packaging Systems.[4]

Combi Packaging Systems expanded their operations to include robotic automation in 2014.[5] In 2017, the company became the official provider of 3M-Matic case sealers and spare parts for the industrial Scotch and Tartan brand tape dispensers.[6] In 2018, the company relocated to a larger location to accommodate the company's rapid growth.[7]

In 2023, 3M sold their equity stake in the company to the Italy-based manufacturer, SIAT.[8]

Products

Combi Packaging Systems manufactures end-of-line packaging equipment, including case erectors, case sealers, case packers, ergonomic hand-packing stations and case-labeling machines.[9]
