His style tends to remain slow, and focus on specific details.[3] As of May 2026, Spargo's YouTube channel has gained over 304,000 subscribers and over 32.12 million views.[4]

Career

Early career

On 30 October 2020, a music video directed by Spargo for the 2016 Lemon Demon song "Touch-Tone Telephone" was released. The video won Best Music Video in the 2021 Oxford Film Festival.[5][6][7]

YouTube

In February 2025, Spargo posted the first episode of his YouTube series Small Questions, titled "Why do UK supermarkets have clock towers?".[2][8] This led to some media attention, including an article in the Daily Express and an interview on BBC Essex.[9]

In March 2025, he posted a video about the "secret meaning" behind a symbol created by the UK mapping agency Ordnance Survey, which commonly appears on private buildings.[10] In June 2025, he released an episode talking about food standards ratings done in the UK by the Food Standards Agency.[11] In September 2025, he posted a video about a box of spiders that Ordnance Survey owns.[12]

Personal life

Spargo attended the University of Reading in Reading, Berkshire, England.[13]
