Overview
Cheary Cheah Yin Peng (Chinese: 谢燕娉; born 10 January 1984) is a Malaysian entrepreneur, former political aide and community activist. [1][2]
Political career
From 2013 to 2022, involvement in Malaysian politics included grassroots and constituency service work within the Democratic Action Party (DAP).
During this period, positions held included Coordinator to former Minister of Human Resources M. Kulasegaran,[3] [4]
Political Secretary to Perak State Assemblyman Cheong Chee Khing, [5][6]Special Assistant to the Member of Parliament for Ipoh Barat,[7] and Treasurer as well as Acting Secretary of the Ipoh Barat branch of the Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (DAPSY). [8]
Subsequently served as a constituency assistant to Bentong Member of Parliament Wong Tack,[9] [10]participating in constituency services, community coordination, and grassroots affairs.
In 2022, nominated as a candidate in the Democratic Action Party (DAP) Central Executive Committee (CEC) election.
Entrepreneurship
Following departure from politics in late 2022, shifted focus towards entrepreneurship and digital commerce within the durian industry.
Activities included traditional durian trading, e-commerce operations, digital marketing, brand development, and business-related initiatives within the durian sector. [11] [12]
