Chayille Collette (born 11 September 2005) is a n athlete from New Zealand who competes over 100m and 200m.[1]

Career

Chayille won the New Zealand schools 100m title and New Zealand u18 200m title in 2022. In the New Zealand u18 100m race she finished second behind her twin sister Addira Collette. In January 2022, both sisters reached the final of the Potts Classic 100m and 200m races in Hastings. Addira beat Chayille into second over 200m. In the 100m race Zoe Hobbs won in a wind-assisted national record time and the teenage finished fifth and sixth.[2]

In January 2023, still aged 17 Collette won the 100m in 11.74s at the Cooks Classic in Whanganui.[3] In March 2023, Chayille ​and her twin sister Addira ​finished in a dead heat in the under-20 100m final at the New Zealand national track and field championships, held in Wellington.[4]

In March 2025, she finished eighth in the 100 metres at the New Zealand Athletics Championships in 12.20 seconds.[5]

She placed third behind her sister at the Auckland 100 m championships in March 2026.[6]

Personal life

Chayille and her twin sister took up the sport at the age of ten and are coached by George McConachy. They are based in Palmerston North. Their parents are from Trinidad and Tobago.[7]
