Build38 is a cybersecurity company that develops mobile application protection software. The company provides a cloud-augmented platform intended to help organizations defend mobile apps against threats such as tampering, reverse engineering, and device compromise, and to monitor and respond to attacks via threat intelligence and telemetry.[1]
Build38 was founded as a spin-off of Giesecke+Devrient and is based in Munich, Germany, and operates offices in Barcelona, Spain, and Singapore. [2] 
In February 2023, Build38 announced a €13 million Series A funding round led by Tikehau Capital. [3] 
In January 2026, OneSpan announced an agreement to acquire Build38, citing Build38’s mobile application protection technology as complementary to OneSpan’s offerings in digital banking security. [4]
Products
Build38 markets a mobile application security platform that combines in-app protection with cloud-based threat intelligence and response capabilities. The company describes multiple integration approaches, including SDK-based and low-/no-code options.  [5]
