Buglo Play sp. z o.o. is a Polish company based in Koszalin, a manufacturer of playground equipment, outdoor gyms and street furniture. According to trade and business media, it is the largest manufacturer of playground equipment in Poland.[1][2]

History

The Buglo brand was founded in 2010 in Koszalin by Łukasz Karaszewski.[3] In 2014 the company exhibited at the GalaBau trade fair in Germany, which marked the start of its export growth.[4]

In 2021 the company underwent a legal reorganisation: the companies "Buglo" sp. z o.o. and "Buglo Play" sp. z o.o. were merged under Article 492 § 1(1) of the Polish Commercial Companies Code by transferring all their assets to an acquiring company, which subsequently operated under the name Buglo Play sp. z o.o.; the current entity was entered in the National Court Register on 5 March 2021.[5]

In 2021 the private equity fund Resource Partners, through the entity Playground Holdings S.à r.l., became the company's majority shareholder.[3]

Operations

The company's principal activity is the manufacture of plastic products. Its range includes playgrounds, outdoor gyms, street furniture, sports arenas and made-to-order products.[1] Production takes place at two facilities in Koszalin.[4]

The company exports to more than 60 countries, and its turnover in 2023 was estimated at about €30 million.[1] In 2025 its net sales revenue was about PLN 168 million; a year earlier revenue reached about PLN 133 million.[6] The company employs close to 400 people.[1][6]

International expansion

In September 2024 Buglo Play acquired 100% of the Danish company Elverdals Prof. Danish Products A/S, which specialises in made-to-order playground projects.[1] In December 2024 it acquired a majority stake (91.9%) in the Finnish company LeikkiSet Oy.[6]

Ownership and management

According to the National Court Register, the company's share capital is PLN 17,643,100. Its shareholders are Playground Holdings S.à r.l. (about 63%, an entity linked to the Resource Partners fund), Armada sp. z o.o. (about 25%) and Thorsager Family ApS (about 10%).[5]

The management board comprises Bartosz Krzemiński (CEO), Andrzej Sas and Łukasz Gośniak.[5] Members of the supervisory board include Łukasz Karaszewski and Peter Holm Larsen.[5]

Recognition

The company's products are certified as compliant with the European standard EN 1176 for playground equipment and carry TÜV certification.[7] In 2018 the company received a TÜV Rheinland Poland distinction in the "Attention to detail" category.[7] In January 2024 it was included in a ranking of leading playground manufacturers published by Forbes.[8]
