Draft:Blue J

  • Comment: The notability requirements need improving. The Axios source helps in terms of sourcing a point but it isn't really describing the company nor is it significant coverage. As previously advised, have a good study of WP:NCORP ChrysGalley (talk) 18:54, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment: References 1 and 2 are not independent of the subject, I cannot access Reference 3 because of the paywall (but that doesn't mean the source doesn't establish notability) and I don't think Reference 4 is independent of the subject either because it involves an interview with the CEO. Blue J is a Toronto-based technology company that develops artificial intelligence software for tax research.[1][2][3] The company operates a generative artificial intelligence platform for use by tax professionals, providing responses to tax research questions that include citations to underlying legal and regulatory sources.[4][5][6]

History

Blue J was founded in 2015 by Benjamin Alarie, Brett Janssen, Anthony Niblett, and Albert Yoon, as a supervised machine learning system intended to analyze and predict outcomes in tax law cases.[7]

In 2023, Blue J relaunched its platform as a generative artificial intelligence tool for tax research, partnering with OpenAI.[8]
