Draft:Avalinity

  • Comment: See WP:NBAND - this needs better sources for notability. We can't use Facebook as a source, and the first two sources are not considered reliable / independent. Sources 3 to 7 are from the group so certainly not independent. ChrysGalley (talk) 13:33, 12 March 2026 (UTC)

Avalinity is a Swedish metal band, often grouped into the categories of är ett svenskt Western Visual Kei /visual kei/ Alternativ rock -band from Lund, Sweden that begun in 2011 under the name The Arekusandaa Project by AREKU.

History

Summary

Avalinity started as a supportband for the guitarist[2] AREKU under the name of The Arekusandaa Project, although it later developed to become a solely independent project as its own band during 2013, allowing the members to have equal say in any creative process. This transition was marked by changing the name to Avalinity in 2013.[3]

The beginning

At the start of 2011 the Swedish guitarist and songwriter AREKU choose to begin looking for bandmembers for a, what tha time, was thought as a support-band to support his compositions. In December the same year he met up with the bassist K (formerly: PA) who soon joined the band. Almost at the same time, the Swedish R&B-singer SaSa joined. In January the well versed drummer FRED (formerly L.O.T)joined the band, and the lineup was finally complete.

After numerous live appearances in southern Sweden, the group decided to release its first two demo-singles: Deconstruction I & II och Autumn Rain.[4]

From support-band to Avalinity

After closely working with the original works of AREKU, the members decided to evolve and make music together as a single unit, working together as AVALINITY . The official mark of this change was on 27th of June 2013.

The year later they released their new demo-single Children of the Universe.

Studies Abroud

In 2013 n the same year, bassist K left the band temporarily to study abroad, and the band brought in support bassist Kaz who appeared on several shows. After K returned, SaSa temporarily stepped down as vocalist, to study in Japan. This meant that K temporarily took over as vocalist. It was also at that time that Yoru became a temporary member of the band to play bass between 2014 and 2015.

In late 2015, SaSa returned from Japan, and the original line-up was restored. The same year, the band joined the production and publishing group Gance Media, founded by AREKU.[5] The band searched for another guitarist in 2017, but after a bunch of auditions, chose to continue with the same line-up as before.

Studioinspelning

After that, the preparation and rehearsals for what would result in their first official single and EP began. In March 2021, the single Liɘeye was released and then the EP RESURREXI.[6]
