Atom Learning

Atom Learning is a British educational technology company that provides an online learning platform for primary school pupils aged seven to eleven. The company was founded in 2018 and is based in London. Its products are used in the United Kingdom and other international markets.

History

Atom Learning was founded in 2018 by co-founders Alex Hatvany and Jake O’Keeffe.[1] The company developed an online learning platform in collaboration with teachers and software developers.

One of its early products, Atom Home, was designed to support preparation for selective school entrance examinations, including grammar and independent school entry. The platform initially focused on mathematics, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning, with content aligned to specifications such as the Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB) pre-tests. Over time, Atom Home expanded to include broader Key Stage 2 mathematics and English content.

The company was self-funded prior to external investment. In December 2021, Atom Learning raised $25 million in Series A funding led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2."Atom Learning".
