Archie Carrasco is a Filipino media executive and entrepreneur. He is the founder and current Chairman and CEO of AGC Power Holdings Corp. (AGC PHC).[1][2]
Career
In 2007, Carrasco joined One MEGA Group Inc. (OMGI) as Marketing Manager.[1] He was appointed President of the company in 2019.
Carrasco founded AGC PHC in 2019 as a holding company to oversee multiple media and marketing entities. AGC PHC currently serves as the parent company for several subsidiaries, including OMGI. Other subsidiaries include Mega Global Licensing Inc. (MGLI), the local partner for Condé Nast; Modern Media Group Inc. (MMGI), the partner for Penske Media Corporation; and the marketing firms 7640, DigistarPH, and Events 100.
International Media Brand Partnerships
Carrasco has overseen the Philippine launch of several international media titles through his companies. In 2022, Condé Nast announced the launch of Vogue Philippines in partnership with MGLI.[3][4] Two years later, Carrasco succeeded the initial publisher to take over the role for the Philippine edition.[5]
Through MMGI, Carrasco led the 2023 relaunch of Billboard Philippines, five years after the brand had ceased its previous operations in the country.[6] In 2024, The Business of Fashion reported that Allure would launch a Philippine edition via Condé Nast’s partnership with Carrasco's firm.[7] This was followed by the announcement of Rolling Stone's entry into the Philippine market in late 2024.[8]
Additional international titles launched under Carrasco’s leadership include the Philippine iteration of Robb Report in early 2025,[9] and the planned launch of GQ Philippines in summer 2026.[10]
Awards and Recognition
In 2022, Carrasco was named in the "Men and Women Who Matter" list at the Asia Leaders Awards (ALA).[11] During the same year, AGC PHC was inducted into the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) Hall of Fame for the Media & Entertainment Industry, and Carrasco was recognized in the Master Entrepreneur Category.[1]
Industry Events and Public Speaking
Carrasco has been a speaker at several media industry events, including the 46th FIPP World Media Congress in Portugal.[12] In 2024, he served as a judge and a member of the selection committee for Miss Universe Philippines.[13] He also delivered the keynote at the 32nd Agora Youth Awards, an event organized by the Philippine Marketing Association.[14]
